Islamic Creed- Names of Allah- Names of Allah in Brief Lesson (21-30): Al-Badee' ( The Originator)

In the Name of Allah, The Most Gracious, Most Merciful

 Allah's Name Al-Badee' ( The Originator)

Allah's Name Al-Badee' is mentioned in the following Noble Ayah in which He says:

"The Originator of the heavens and the earth. When He decrees a matter, He only says to it : "Be!" - and it is."

[Al-Baqarah, 117]

The meaning of Allah's Name Al-Badee'

Linguistically, the form (wazn) of Badee' is fai'l which means mufi'l (Mubde'); the Originator of the heavens and the earth.
Actually, Ibdaa' (creativity) means to innovate something without any previous example to imitate or any instruction to follow.
Actually, all man-made things are based on imitating designs or ideas found in nature, whereas Allah the Almighty created the entire universe without any former example to follow. In other words, before the creation of the universe, there was no inspiring design, found in nature, showing that the earth should be round, should rotate around its axis, and should revolve around the sun.
In addition, Allah the Almighty created light, created the sun as the main source of heat and light energy, and gave to each thing its form and nature; gave water, air, and all other substances distinctive physical and chemical properties, as well as different melting points. In fact, if all substances had the same melting point, the entire universe would turn into a huge mass of gas, liquid, or solid.
Moreover, Al-Badee' means the Unique in His Entity, since nothing is like Him and nothing resembles Him in any way whatsoever. Al-Badee’ also means the Unique in His Creation since He has created the entire universe as well as all creatures without precedent.
Furthermore, Al-Badee' means the Unique in His Actions, since He arranges one's matters in a way he may never expect.

Thus, Al-Badee' means the Unique in His Entity, Attributes, and Actions.
Let's ponder, dear readers, over some aspects of Allah's Unique Creation: Allah Al-Badee' (the Originator) created the heavens and the earth without any former example to imitate or any instruction to follow, and gave all substances their essence, properties, characteristics, sizes, shapes, colors, etc. He created Human beings as well as countless species of animals and plants without any former example. Thus, whenever you reflect upon Allah's Creation, you believe with certainty that Allah is the Originator of the heavens and the earth.
You should deeply believe that Allah the Almighty is Unique in His Entity, since there isn't anything that is like Him, or that resembles any of His Attributes, Actions, and Creation.

The believer's connection with Allah's Name Al-Badee':

As for the implementation of Allah's Name Al-Badee' in the believers' life, they should be creative and innovative at work, as well as in agriculture, industry and other fields that confer the greatest benefit to mankind.
However, when it comes to religious matters, it is impermissible to make any bid’ah (bid’ah means something that has been introduced into the religion of Allah that has no general or specific basis to support it.) since every bid’ah is misguidance and every misguidance  leads to the Hellfire. In other words, Islam is tawqeefi [It is not permissible to worship Allah, through any act of worship unless it is proven in the Qur'an and Sunnah to be an act of worship prescribed by Allah].  Furthermore, Islam is a complete and perfect religion, and it is not susceptible to addition or abrogation.
 Allah the Almighty says:

"This day, those who disbelieved have given up all hope of your religion, so fear them not, but fear Me. This day, I have perfected your religion for you, completed My Favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion."

[Al-Ma'idah, 3]
