The Prophet’s Jurisprudence: Lesson: 36. Date: May1st, 2006_ The story of the elephant with Abraha Bin Issabaah_ By his Eminence Dr. Mohammad Ratib En_Nabulsi

In the name of Allah, Most Merciful, Most Gracious

Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds and peace and blessing be upon our master Mohammad, the honest & truthful. O Allah! We have no knowledge except what you have taught us, you are the All- Knower and the All- Wise. O Allah! Teach us what benefits us and benefit us from what you’ve taught us and enhance our knowledge. Show us the true as true and enable us to follow it and show us the falsehood as falsehood and enable us to avoid it. Make us from those who listen to the saying and follow the best thereof, and make us by your mercy from your righteous worshippers. Bring us out from the darkness of ignorance and illusion to the light of knowledge and science and from mires of vain desires to heavens of pious acts.

Dear  Believers, with a new lesson from the prophet’s jurisprudence.

We reached the end of the prophet’s (PBUH) journey to Madina, but I want to clarify some incidents mentioned on the detailed books of Assirah in the dignified Makkah before we move into the Madina stage.

A story that is connected to the reality of Muslims in a large sense, that is the story of the elephant:

“Have you (O Muhammad PBUH) not seen how your Lord dealt with the owners of the Elephant? [The elephant army which came from Yemen under the command of Abrahah Al_Ashram intending to destroy the Ka’bah at Makkah](1) Did He not make their plot go astray? (2) And He sent against them birds, in flocks, (3) Striking them with stones of Sijjil (baked clay).(4) And He made them like  (an empty field of) stalks (of which the corn has been eaten up by cattle(5)

[Surat Al_Fil, the elephant, CV]

Muslims today are in great need to the lessons and the moral of this story; that the most

dangerous thing in a nation’s life is to be defeated from the inside, to feel frustration, that someone might say: Muslims are finished. Therefore this story has indications and lessons we are in great need of in our new reality.

Details on the elephant incident and its conclusions

Ibn Ishaq (Isak) mentioned that Abraha Bin Issabah was a governor  on Yemen during the Najashi’s reign , he was the king of Habasha , a mayor in today’s  expression. Abraha saw the people getting ready to go to Makka during the season, so he built a church in San’a’ and wrote to Najashi: “I built a church that has never been built before, and I am not finished until I divert the Haj of the Arabs to it”.

The first deduction/conclusion: No for defeat from the inside:

A struggle may arise between two parties, two nations, two peoples, two groups, .. etc. The rule of victory states that the stronger wins, but when the struggle is between the earth and the heaven, the result is pre- determined.

“ Verily, those who disbelieve spend their wealth to hinder (men) from the Path of Allah, and so will they continue to spend it; but in the end it will become an anguish for them. Then they will be overcome…

[Surat Al_Anfal, ( The Spoils of Wars) VIII].

“Say ( O Mohammad PBUH) to those who disbelieve “ You will be defeated

[Surat Al _Imran, aya, 12]

I say these verses and I strongly fear that people may understand form it that we should stop working, or depend in a way Allah did not want, or give in to unforeseen destiny, but these verses mean that Allah does not want us to be defeated form the inside.

“Say ( O Mohammad PBUH) to those who disbelieve “ You will be defeated and gathered to together to Hell, snd wordt indeed is that place of rest””

[Surat Al _Imran, aya, 12

Here is Abraha who wanted to cancel pilgrimage to the dignified Makka. Of course Abraham’s religion has effects, one of which is the pilgrimage to Makkah. A man from Bani Kinanah (Kinanah Tribe) heard Abraha’s speech, so he entered the church at night and soiled its polestar with dirt. When Abraha knew, he asked: “ who had the guts to do that?” he was answered: “A man from that household from Makka, he heard what you had said, and did what he did”. So Abraha swore to go to Ka’ba in order to destroy it.

One or two years ago it was published in the newspapers that Makka should be bombarded during the pilgrimage season as a revenge for what  had happened on September 11th. And the reporter who suggested that was paralyzed at a very young age. I want to say a word of truth; you may  be at odds with people, you may be right, or your opponent may be right, unless in case you think you could oppose the heaven, to oppose the Lord of the earth and the heaven, if you consider being in a trench that opposes religion, then the result is pre-determined.

An evidence that supports this fact:

Allah the All Mighty talks to the two wives of the  Prophet PBUH,  lady Aishah and lady Hafsah:

“If you two (wives of the prophet PBUH: Aishah and Hafsah May Allah be pleased with them) turn in repentance to Allah, (it will be better for you), your hearts are indeed  so inclined (to oppose what the Prophet PBUH likes); but if you help one another against him (Muhammad PBUH), then verily, Allah is his Mawla (Lord or Master, or Protector, and Jibril (Gabriel), and the righteous among the believers; and furthermore, the angels are his helpers”

[Surat Attahreem, ( The Prohibition), aya, 4]

There is a great wonder in the verse, O Lord, two weak women “, Allah is his Mawla (Lord or Master, or Protector, and Jibril (Gabriel), and the righteous among the believers; and furthermore, the angels are his helpers”

Is it possible that two women criticized the system, so all the air forces, marines, and land  are called up, that is unbelievable ! what is the meaning of the verse? It means: You human, if you want to be in a trench against righteousness, know who is the other party, therefore do not worry about this religion, but we should all worry about ourselves whether Allah allows us to be soldiers for this religion or not.

Back to the details of Abraha’s attack of the Ka’ba with his elephant

Abrahah swore to destroy the Ka’bah, and he wrote to Najashi telling him that and asking him to send him his elephant, Najashi had a very huge and strong elephant that no one had ever seen like before called Mahmoud, so he sent it to him. Abrahah went towards Makkah, the Arabs heard that, so they dignified him for the idea of destroying the Ka’bah, and saw that  Abraha’s fight was  their right, so one of the kings of Yemen called ‘Thu Nafar’ went out to do the mission, Abrahah defeated him, captured him and almost killed him, Thu Nafar said: “ King, it’s better for you to keep me alive”, so he kept him and tied him, he walked with him. As it was narrated that Abraha was a  patient man. He walked towards Makkah, when he reached ‘Khuth’am’s country, ‘Nafeel Bin Habib il_ Khuth’ami’ went out to him with some people from the Arab’s tribes, they fought him, and he defeated them and took ‘Nafeel’, who said to Abraha: “ King, I am your guide in the land of the Arabs, and that is betrayal, and my people obey my orders, so keep me , it’s better for you, so he kept him, and he went out with him showing him the way. When he arrived  Ta’if, Mas’oud Bin Mu’tab with some men from Thaqif, he said to him: King, we are your slaves, we will send someone with you to show you the way”. Have you seen hypocrisy, and humiliation?, That is what is going on in the world today, so they sent ‘Abu Righal’ with him.

That is  a man who betrayed his country, when he reached mughmmas (a steep area in Makka) he died, and the worst thing in a man’s life is to die in sin.

There is a restaurant in Damascus whose owner repented to Allah and stopped serving alcohol and went to pilgrimage, when he came back he found that the daily profit went down sharply, so he went back into selling alcohol, and four days later, he died.

The most miserable people are those who die in sin.  Ibn Ishaq said:  and he is the one whose grave is stoned, and sometimes man commits a treachery, Allah and the angels and all people curse him.

Abraha sent a man from Habashah called ‘Aswad Bin Masfood heading his horses, and he ordered a parade on the people’s cattle, now he is near Makkah. Aswad gathered the haram’s money and hit 200 camels for Abdul Muttalib, a serious battle, two men with their people stood against him and Abraha won and captured the two kings. Then he ordered the man whom he brought from Habashah to take the money of the people of Makkah, he took 200 camels of Abdul Muttalib, and all the money of the haram became his. Then Abraha sent a man from ‘Himyar’ to the people of Makkah, he said: “ tell the sheriff of Makkah that I did not come to fight, but I came to destroy the ‘Bayt’ (the Ka’bah), a very distinct/limited mission” when Abdul Muttalib heard this, he said:

We will give him a space to do what he came for, what is this talk? That is Allah’s house and his intimate Ibrahim , if Allah forbids him, it is his house and sanctuary, and if Allah allows him to do that, by Allah we are helpless/have no power, if Allah allows the powerful, we are weak, and if Allah wants to protect his house, it is His business.” That was his speech, it was true speech that needs reason. The messenger went to king Thu  Nafar, the first king who was  captured, who was a friend of Abdul Muttalib. Abdul Muttalib came to his friend, the king of Yemen, he said: “Thu Nafar, do you have a solution to our problem?” He answered: “How can a man in captivity be of help, a man who  is not safe of being killed morning or night? But I am going to send to Anis, the elephants groom/ stableman , he is a friend of mine, and I will ask him to speak nicely of you before the king”. That was  a plan, the stableman was close to the king and he was a friend of Thu Nafar. So the stableman went to Abraha and said: “ A noble man/master of Quraish is asking permission to meet you , he came peacefully, with no animosity, and no opposition to your orders and I would like it if you allow him.

The second Conclusion: Man is man any time any place:

Honorable Brothers, man is man any time any place.

“It is He Who has created you from a single person (Adam)…”

[Surat Al _A’raf (The Heights, or The Wall with Elevatons), aya 189]

A believer is the believer, the hypocrite is the hypocrite, the traitor is the traitor, the faithful is the faithful, and Allah the All- Mighty gave us human examples

Important points from the  of the story: example on past incidents in the Islamic History

Before carrying on with the story, I would like to pause at some important points in it.

The  Trench Invasion:

It happened in the Islamic history that some strong parties wanted to assault/invade the Muslims and eradicate them from their roots, like Quraish and those related  to it.

In the trench invasion, Allah the All-Mighty said in describing them:

“When they came upon you from above you and from below you, and when the eyes grew wild and the hearts reached to the throats, and you were harboring doubts about Allah(10), There, the believers were tried and shaken with a mighty shaking(11),  And when the hypocrites and those in whose hearts is a disease (of doubts) said: “Allah and His Messenger PBUH promised us nothing but delusions!(12)”

[Surat Al_Ahzab (The Confiderates) XXXIII, ayat 10_12:

Then He says:

“Among the believers are men who have been true to their covenant with Allah [i.e. they have gone out for Jihad (holy fighting), and showed not their backs to the disbelievers]; of them some have fulfilled their obligations (i.e. have been martyred); and some of them are still waiting, but they have never changed [i.e. they never proved treacherous to their covenant which they concluded with Allah] in the least.

[Surat Al_Ahzab (The Confiderates) XXXIII, ayat  23

The Exit from hardship to Victory and relief: the belief in Allah’s promise of victory and stability:

That is why when you believe that everything is in Allah’s hand, and Allah is the supporter, and victory is from Allah, and Allah the All- Mighty promised the believers with victory and promised not to let their enemies have a way to them, and He said

“And that Our hosts! They verily would be the victors”

[Surat As_Saffat, aya, 173]

And He said:

“..and for the believers, it was incumbent upon us to help (them).”

[Surat Ar_Room, aya 47]

And He said:

“Allah has promised those among you who believe and do righteous good deeds that He will certainly grant them succession to (the present rulers) in the land, as He granted it to those before them, and that He will grant them the authority to practice their religion which He has chosen for them (i.e. Islam). And He will surely give them in exchange a safe security after their fear …”

[Surat An_Noor (The Light), aya 55]

And vanishing the universe is easier to Allah than not accomplishing His promises to believers, pay attention to this word, but if  we are contemptible to Allah’s orders, in this case Allah:

“..And never will Allah grant to the disbelievers a way (to triumph) over the believers”

[Surat An _Nisa’ (the women), aya 141]

That they have thousands of  ways over us is because of our negligence, and weakness of  belief, and our violation of the Qur’an and the sunnah, Allah the All Mighty said:

“He is the All-Strong, the All-Mighty.”

[Surat Hood(prophet), aya,141]

Honorable brothers, Allah the All-Mighty says:

“Indeed, they planned their plot, and their plot was with Allah, though their plot was not such as to remove the mountains (real mountains or the Islamic law) from their places(as it is of no importance) [Tafseer Ibn Katheer]”

[Surat Ibrahim (Abraham), aya, 46]

Allah the All-Mighty describes the plot of the other party that mountains are removed by it, as a simile, while in fact all the powers of the earth from the beginning of Adam until the day of resurrection cannot transfer  Qasyoon (a mountain in Syria), to Der’a (a city in Syria), (that means they cannot move a mountain from one place to another), even these powers cannot  cancel this religion.

Once I visited a museum in an Islamic country, which is secular in the contemporary age, and the person who established that country wanted to cancel Islam completely. In the museum, I was astonished with the extravagance in that place, the reception hall is 2000 square meters, decorated with five tons of gold, there is a watch with a time fixed on 9:05, I asked the tour guide about it, he said that the master of that palace died at 9:05, so the watch was stopped in memory of  him, then I said my word: “ a thousand tyrant in the earth wanted to cancel Islam died and Islam still exists, as lofty/high as a mountain.

“So do not become weak (against your enemy), nor be sad, and you will be superior (in victory) if you are indeed (true) believers.”

[Surat Al-Imran (the family of Imran), aya 139]

From this lesson I want the story of a powerful man, who did not take into account the Lord of the world entirely, he wanted to cancel the Ka’bah, and went to destroy it, he overcame the obstacles that stood in his way, and continued his way to the Ka’bah , and the Lord of the worlds Who disappointed Abraha and protected His House from being destroyed is with us, He is our God and He is with us.

“..And He is with you (by His Knowledge) wheresoever you may be..”

[Surat Al-Hadeedc(the iron), aya 4]

The story of our master Yunis (Jonas): the result of it is a general law:

Their  Allah is our Allah, their God is our God, the conventions are conventions, the rules are rules.  Two cases in the noble Qur’an are hardly believed; our prophet Yunis (Jonah) was a noble man who found himself in the stomach of a whale, what is the possibility of survival? A man can stand up on his feet in the whale’s stomach, the whale weighs fifty tons meat, fifty tons fat, fifty tons bones, and ninety barrels fish oil. It feeds its baby  300 kg of milk three times daily, note this, a man finds himself in the whale’s stomach or mouth:

“..but he cried through the darkness…”

[Surat Al-Anbiya’ (the prophets) aya, 87]

Through the darkness of the night, the darkness of the sea, and the darkness of the whale’s mouth:

“..but he cried through the darkness (saying): La ilaha illa Anta [none has the right to be worshipped but You (O,Allah)], Glorified (and Exalted) are You [above all that (evil) they associate with You]! Truly! I have been of the wrong-doers”(87), So we answered his call, and delivered him from the distress. And thus We do deliver the believers (who believe in the Oneness of Allah, abstain from evil and work righteousness)”

[Surat Al-Anbiya’ (the prophets) aya, 87, 88]

Examine this rule closely, it was a story and it became a law: “And thus We do deliver the believers (who believe in the Oneness of Allah, abstain from evil and work righteousness)”, everywhere, every time; in an underdeveloped country, in a developed country, in a poor country, in a rich country, ancient, modern, and future:

. “And thus We do deliver the believers (who believe in the Oneness of Allah, abstain from evil and work righteousness)”,

“Son of Adam, be to me as I want, I will be to you as you want, be to me as you want, and do not inform me of what makes things right for you, you want and I want, if you give in to me for what I want, I suffice you with what you want, and if you do not give in to me for what I want, I will tire you for what you want and only what I want will be”.

Honorable brothers, when you put your trust in Allah, it is impossible to be disappointed, that is why I am trying to lift the spirits of Muslims, and make them not believe their enemies, and Allah the All-Mighty will never give up on us.

From the chapters of Abraha’s story  and the destruction of Ka’bah: Abdul Muttalib’s attitude:

 Ibn Ishaq said:

Abdul Muttalib was a handsome and huge man. When Abraha saw him, he honored him and dignified him. Abraha was sitting on a bed, he didn’t like to let Abdul Muttalib sit with him on his bed for he was the leader of his enemies, he also didn’t like to let Abdul Muttalib  sit on the floor beneath him, so Abraha went down on the mattress, sat on it and asked Abdul Muttalib to sit with him. Abrahah was clever (so Abdul Muttalib asked him- pay attention- a leader of an army who came to destroy the Ka’bah, the qibla of people then, and Abdul Muttalib is the leader of Makka), Abdul Muttalib asked him to give him back the 200 camels he took from his property, is it possible? Abraha said to his interpreter: “tell him: I liked you when I first saw you, handsome and huge, but now I abstain from you”, he asked why, he answered: “ I came to destroy a house that is your religion, your ancestors’ religion, your  honor, and dignity, and you did not talk to me about it, instead you talked about the 200 camels”.

I am not saying that you should imitate that person, that is history, that was what he said, but he said: “ I am the  lord of these camels, and the Ka’ba has a Lord to protect it”, and that is Islam , the religion of Allah.

The martyr Noor Iddeen  prostrated to Allah the All-Mighty (bowed with his forehead on the ground) before a critical/decisive battle and said: “O Lord, who is the dog Noor Iddeen to grant him  victory? O Lord!  Grant victory to your religion”.  What is this humility!

Any young man or young woman who thinks of providing something to this religion, Allah the All- Mighty blesses them with goodness. I hope that each one of you would carry the burden of this religion, seek the way to spread it and clarify its secrets, and defend his prophet; Allah the All-Mighty is our Lord, and this religion is His and He will support it, but:

“..And if you turn away (from Islam and the obedience to Allah), He will exchange you for some other people and they will not be your likes”

[Surat Mohammad, aya, 38]

He (Abdul Muttalib) said to him: “I am the lord of the camels, and the house has a Lord to protect it”, so Abraha said: “He wouldn’t protect it against me, who does he mean? Allah the All-Mighty, and he said: He cannot stop me from destroying it”. The most stupid person is the one who opposes Allah the All-Mighty. Who are you? You are nothing, you are less than a pin’s head of clotted blood in a vein in the brain. One might be the head of our enemies and  ends up in one second, and does not die. Man is in Allah’s grip. And I hope that we all benefit from this experience/incident. Speak, but never judge the future. No one ever judges the future that is not classified with the idiots; an idiot, who would think that those who raised the slogan with only “there is no God” in the eastern world who have bombs that could destroy the five continents five times. Who would believe that they have become an underdeveloped country? It collapsed from the inside without war, a country that once was in the heights, who would believe that the eastern camp would collapse for the silliest reason?

Honorable brothers, read this example carefully, there are magnetic cranes in the steel factories; a large surface surrounded by electric bobbin, magnetism occurs, and when the crane is put in front of a large steel object, it may weigh 20 tons, it carries it, and no force on earth can take a piece of it, nevertheless, if the man sitting on that crane pushed a button for less than tenth of a millimeter, and disconnect electricity, everything will fall down. I give this example, if Allah the All-Mighty wants to end a strong party, he will end it in a blink.

“I am Allah, King of kings, the kings’ hearts and their foreheads are in my hand, if the slaves obey me, I will make them (their kings) merciful to them, and if they disobey me, I will make them a punishment, so do not get busy cursing the kings, and wish for their righteousness, for their righteousness is related  to your righteousness, but repent to Allah, I will make them merciful to you”

[Reported by Tabarani, from Ka’b]

Abdul Muttalib said to him: Go ahead, Abraha said to him: “He wouldn’t stop me”, He said: Go ahead, so Abraha ordered for Abdul Muttalib’s camels to be brought,  and they were returned to him. That was what happened, then Abdul Muttalib left, and asked the army to spread around in Makka’s mountains, and guard themselves against the humiliation of the army, and so they did, and Abdul Muttalib came to the house, he took the door knob and started saying  poetry :

O lord I do not hope for them anyone but you   O Lord stop them from your house

The enemy of the house is the one that opposes you  prevent  them from ruining your villages …

I am not asking you to surrender through this story.

“and say  (O Mohammad PBUH, )“do deeds!”

[Surat Attawbah, aya, 105]

But I am asking you not to give up, not to feel frustrated, I am asking you to feel that Allah does not give up on us/does not let us down, Allah the All-Mighty says:

“So think not that Allah will fail to keep His promise to His Messengers. Certainly, Allah is All-Mighty, All-Able of retribution”

[Surat Ibrahim (Abraham), aya, 47].

A man in a nearby country was so fearful that whenever he looked at somebody he would die of fear, the judge asked him about his full name , his work, and his place of residence, he wrote some information on his hands because he did not have a piece of paper, that is why He Who knows Allah would count to billion before disobeying Him.

“ Verily! (O Mohammad PBUH) the seizure (punishment ) of  your Lord is severe and painful”

[Surat Al-Buruj (the big stars), aya, 12]

Then Abraha went to Makkah with some people, when he reached the steep area, he got ready to enter, loaded his army, and prepared his elephant. Nafeel came to the elephant, held its ear and said; “kneel down, Mahmoud, the elephant’s name is Mahmoud, you are in the holy country of Allah.

Once, somewhere,  they brought in an honest scientist, and they made up their minds to let a hungry dog, that had not eaten anything for seven days, eat him. They put them together in one place, Allah is the One Who held back the dog, it did not move forward and didn’t do anything.

Honorable brothers,

“..So plot against me , all of you, and give me no respite (55), I put my  trust in Allah , my Lord and your Lord! There is not a moving (living) creature but He has the grasp of its forelock. Verily, my Lord is on the Straight  Path (the truth).(56)”

[Surat Hood, aya 55, 56]

If Allah is with you, then who is against you?  And if Allah is against you, who is with you? O Lord, what did the one who had found You lose? And what did the one who had lost You find?

If you are close to Allah, you will be like what Allah the All-Mighty said:

“.. you are under our eyes ..”

[Surat Attor, (the Mount), aya, 48]

Honorable brothers, a second quick story to confirm the meaning of: if Allah is with you, then who is against you?

The story of Moses and his people being  surrounded by  Pharaoh and his soldiers: “Allah is with me He will guide me.”

Our master Musa with ran away with an oppressed troop of Israel, in the contemporary expression people of the fifth degree, everything is against them and they have got nothing. They  ran away from Pharaoh towards the sea, and Pharaoh was after them accompanied with his soldiers, his grudge, tyranny and violence.

“And when the two hosts saw each other”

[Surat Ashu’ara’, (the poets), aya, 61]

The possibility of survival is zero, the sea was in front of him and Pharaoh behind them.

“..the companions of Musa (Moses) said: “ we are sure to be overtaken”(61) Musa (Moses) said: Nay,..”

[Surat Ashu’ara’ (the poets), aya 61, 62]

One of our honorable brothers was doing (Umrah), and there was a dignified scholar there telling this story, the brother asked him: “what did Musa say to his people when ““..the companions of Musa (Moses) said: “ we are sure to be overtaken” He said: “ Musa (Moses) said: Nay,..”? that is what  the verse said, Nay, meaning impossible.

“ Musa (Moses)e said: Nay, verily with me is my Lord. He will guide me”

[Surat Ashu’ara’, aya 62]

Text Box:  ÈÑæß ÇáÝíá æÚÏã ÊæÌåå Åáì ÌåÉ ÇáÞÈáÉ :

Have you seen the believer’s trust in Allah the All-Mighty? Nay, impossible, it is  impossible thousands and thousands times that Allah will give up on the believer “ you are under our eyes”

The kneeling down of the elephant and not heading towards the qibla

The elephant kneeled down, it was sent and it refused, maybe it comprehends more than them. They turned it towards Yemen, it ran, towards Syria, it did the same, towards the east, it did the same thing, but when it was turned towards the haram, it kneeled,. It is shameful that inanimate animals are closer to Allah than this honored human ; man. Allah the All-Mighty said:

“..and there is not a thing but glorifies His praise. But you understand not their glorificaton. Truly, He is ever Forebearing, Oft-Forgiving.”

[Surat Al-Isra’ (the journey by night), aya, 44]

If inanimates; plants, and animals  praise Allah, and man is oblivious of Allah, where is the human’s dignity?

And Nafeel left and climbed the mountain, now Allah the All-Mighty interfered and sent birds in flocks from the sea, with each bird three stones, two in its feet, and one in its beak, when they reached the people and flew over them, they  threw the stones on them, everyone hit by the stones died.

“And He sent against them birds, in flocks”

[Surat Al_Fil, the elephant, CV, aya 3].

Those flocks of birds are from the weak types of birds.

“Striking them with stones of Sijjil (baked clay)”.

[Surat Al-Fil(the elephant, aya, 4]

That means register on each stone the name of the person you want to kill.

..with stones of Sijjil (baked clay).(4) And He made them like  (an empty field of) stalks (of which the corn has been eaten up by cattle(5)

[Surat Al-Fil (The elephant, aya, 4, 5]

The birds did not hit all the people, the rest ran away asking about Nafeel to show them the way to Yemen, some of them running over each other, falling down all the way, dying. Allah inflicted  Abraha with a disease that made his fingers fall until he reached San’a like a chicken.

By Allah I once received an email with a picture of Pharaoh, Musa’s Pharaoh, which was taken to Paris for the repairing its hands which were infected with fungus. Allah witnesses I was greatly touched with that picture, I started saying:

“Saying: “ I am your lord, most high””

[Surat An-Nazi’at, (theose who pull out), aya, 24]

That is the one who said:

“..I know not that you have an ilah (a god) other than me..”

[Surat Al-Qasas, aya 38]

How stupid is this man if he becomes arrogant, that is why one believer confided in the Lord of the worlds saying: If that is your mercy with the one who said “I am your lord, most high”, how?

“Go, both of you, to Fir’aun (Pharoah), verily, he has transgressed (all bounds in disbelief and disobedience and behaved as an arrogant and as a tyrant (43), And speak to him mildly, perhaps he accepts  admonition or fear (Allah)”

[Surat Taha , aya, 43, 44]

He said: Lord if that is your mercy with the one who said, “I am your lord, the most high”, then how is your mercy with the one who says, “Praise be to Allah, the Most High”? and if your mercy with the one who said “I know not you have ilah other than me”, how is your mercy with the one who says “ la ilaha illa llah , there is no God but Allah”?

Abraha’s fingers kept falling down until he reached San’a like a chicken, and he did not die until his chest was cut from his heart, then he collapsed.

“Verily, to Us will be their return (25), then verily, for Us will their reckoning”

[Surat Al-Ghashiyah (the Overwhelming) aya25, 26]

And Praise be to Allah Lord of the Worlds
