The Story of messenger in Kaaba- lesson No.40- 12/6/2006

Rebuilding Kaaba.- some of messengers morals and manners- Dr.Rateb Al-Nabulsi

In the name of Allah

Praises be to Allah , Lord of the world , peace be upon our honest and genuine messenger Muhammad .

O Allah , we have no knowledge but what you teach us , you are the wise and the scholar .

O Allah teach us what you teach us what serves us and lets have benefits of what you are teaching us and increase us more knowledge . lets see the truth and follow it , lets see the evil too and get away of it .

Lets be among the ones who listen to the speech and follow the best . send your mercy upon us with your good slaves .

O Allah take us away from the ignorance and illusions darkness to the knowledge and science shine . and from sleazy lusts to the high paradises.

An introduction about building Kaaba .

O kind brothers , now we are with new lesson of the prophet Muhammad’s story , we had a lot of lessons about the period {pre-Hijra} in Mecca and we used to extract what we need from this history in our relationships , ambitions , and understanding  this religion.

Today we will talk about the building of  kaaba because it has very important point , we are in need for it .

When prophet Muhammad was thirty five years , Kuraish{ his tripe} started rebuilding the Kaaba .

Allah says in Quraan [ verily, the first House {of worship} appointed for mankind was that at Bakkah {Mecca} , full of blessing , and a quietness for all  Al-alamien {mankind and jinn}. ]

96  All Imran

Kaaba is at the middle of the five continents:

Prophet Ibrahim had rebuilt Kaaba, it is Allah’s home on earth , also geographic scientists affirmed that Kaaba is at the middle of the five continents . How was that ??

If we talked about the ancient world [ Asia , Europe , Africa and Australia ] and matched the ends of these continents together by lines , these lines would intersect exactly at the location of the blessed Mecca .

Consequently, Kaaba is at the center of the ancient world , that means the distance between the center of Mecca and any edge of the ancient world is exactly 8500 kilometers .

And if we added the new world [ America]  blessed Mecca would be a new center of the new world , it means that the distance between Mecca and any edge of the new world is exactly 13000 kilometers .

Now , notice that opposite of kaaba on the other side of earth there is the pacific ocean , that means there is no land at the opposite of kaaba .

Usually , every place on land has an opposite one on the other side of the earth except Kaaba which has no opposite on land , it is a geographical point view .

Quraan says : [ verily, the first House {of worship} appointed for mankind was that at Bakkah {Mecca} , full of blessing , and a quietness for all  Al-alamien {mankind and jinn}. ]

96  All Imran

Now the question is [what does{ Allah is in everywhere } mean ???] Allah says:[And he is with you { by His knowledge} wheresoever  you may be ]

  04 Al- Hadid

So why does Allah have home at specific place? , the answer is : because of th materialistic need in man .

Allah says : [And Hajj { pilgrimage  to Mecca } to the House { Kaaba } is a duty that mankind owes to Allah , those who can afford the expenses { for one s conveyance , provision , and residence } .]

97 All- Imran

look , you pray at your home , at near by masjid  with your family , and kids . sometimes at your office or work , also your fasting , Zakat and uttering Islamic slogan

"I witness that there is no god but Allah and Muhammad is His last messenger"

but performing Hajj needs leaving your country , your house , your office , your wife and your kids , this worship needs devoted time

Its known that when Muslim travels he suffers from troubles , pays huge expenses and misses his home , comfort bed , family and kids .

In this way Muslim will feel how difficult it is to meet Allah's invitation to His House for this the pilgrim says :[ O Allah this is me coming to you ]

As an answer to His request that is O my slave come and visit me at My home , come and get closer to me , declare your apology and ask me my mercy , get off all your bogus masks , return to your nature , now you cant show off with your clothes at Hajjs or even in your rank , your commerce , your position in society , you have nothing except that white simple uniform ..

For this Allah has taken a home on earth , and has considered visiting His home is a mark of honesty .

So , it is impossible to visit Him in His home and not to hand you generosity , the one who stands at Arafat [ a holy mountain in Saudia ] without deep reckoning about Allah that He will surely forgive him, he cant be considered as a pilgrim .

You cant come to Him so repented and obedient and come back with nothing , you must come back with forgiveness , wisdom , declaration  and victory . so this is the gist of having a home belongs to Allah which is the Holy Kaaba .

Starting building Kaaba and collecting Halal money for that :

35 years before prophet Muhammad's birth [ pbhu] Kuraish had begun building kaaba , it was as high as Ismael when he built it, without ceiling . so , a group of thieves had stolen its treasure.

Also , five years before Muhammad's revealation , a flood had bridged some of Mecca's stones and rifted its walls . for this reason kaaba was about to fall down , so    kuraish was in need to rebuild it , and they made a deal that no money would be used for building kaaba except the hala.

They are honest and spotless those who shared in building kaaba in the very near past , one of the respected scholars / he is dead now / was seventy years old shared in carrying woods , stones and mud  during broadening, its really high honor to cooperate with others in building the holy house of Allah .

Once I met the servant of a masjid [ mosque] in Damascus but that masjid had great cleaning as if it belongs to a very cleaning-obsess lady , that cleanness was incredible carpets were glossed and cleaned by effective materials , bathrooms too. when I met that guy he said we obey Allah's instructions in Quraan , I asked him where in Quraan he said : Allah says : [ we commanded Ibrahem {Abraham} and Ismael that they should purify my house for those who circumambulating it  , or staying , or bowing ,or prostrating themselves ]

125 Al-Bakara

Allah ordered Ibrahim / the father of prophets/ to purify Allah's home .

For this ,  serving masajid [ mosques / houses of Allah ] is a great job and make you closer to Allah .

Some important benefits from building kaaba project :

1- intact instincts distinguish good deeds :

When kuraish made a deal that every cent inserted into kaaba must be Halal , this happened before revealation on the prophet Muhammad , it means that Allah's  instructions are founded on humans nature .

The words : [ /known deed / and / rejected deed / ] have deep meanings , Allah called the good deed known one how?? Who will know the good deed ??? what is the good deed to be known ????

Actually , the intact instinct know good deeds and know the rejected ones , in some justice system of some countries they take people from streets to be as jurors to the court , and then they show the crime to those people to judge it using their instinct and nature , without any stresses or greediness , they utter the truth with intact instinct .

Once , by the Syrian coast it happened a very strong storm extracted 150 house , most of people there were unanimous that the owners of the houses were bad men , for this Allah destroyed their houses , even though people believe in different religions , creeds and castes .

Now back to kaaba ,kuraish wanted to spend halal money on it , surely you can use your instinct to know whether your money is halal or corrupt , to know the allowed procuring  and the disallowed one , and to know whether you are straight or askew , honest or lier , because Allah says in Quraan :[ Nay !man will be a witness against himself { as his body parts / skin , hands , legs / will speak about his deeds} , though he may put forth his excuses { to cover his evil  deeds }]

14 15 Al-Kiamah

they made a deal that no salacity or pornography money in building kaaba , no usury , or any money that aggressively taken from someone , building kaaba has to be away     of any suspected money .

2- Adoring the symbols of Allah :

Kuraish was afraid of ruining Kaaba , it has really magnificent importance, for this /Al-walid bin Al-Mughira/ took a pickaxe saying { O Allah we just want goodness } then he ruined two corners of it .

By the way , Allah says :[ And whosoever honors the symbols of Allah , then it is truly from the piety of the hearts ]

32 Al-Hajj

So, as much as you are pious , you glorify Allah's symbols , Quraan , masjids and men of religion .

Back to our story , Al-Walid bin Al-Mughira ruined two corners of Kaaba and nothing hurt him because he wanted goodness and building it . but it is stuck in their selves that the one who ruin Kaaba is going to be back-broken , for this its mentioned in Hadith : [ deeds are with its intention ] .

When he ruined parts of Kaaba , then he slept and got up next day having no damage , other people went on in ruining Kaaba , they kept doing this until they reached

S bases , then they started rebuilding it by comparting Kaaba into similar partsIsmael

, and dedicated a part to every tripe , every one collected stones and started building Kaaba , then they appointed a Roman man called /Bakun/ to be in charge.

Now you have to see who is Muhammad [pbuh] , who was given wisdom { there is a row between scholars whether messengers are impeccable before getting their message or after it , but it is likely that they are impeccable before getting their message and after it .}

3- The wisdom of prophet Muhammad before revealtion :

As the building reached the Black Stone , people conflicted who would get the honor of touching , carrying and putting it in its place .

The conflicted continued for four or five nights , and had almost turned into a painful war on the holy land .

Brothers , forgive me , those people were away from the application of the essence of religion, but they clung with formalities.

Ex. You see an almost necked woman so careful to fast the 27th of  Rajab !!!!!

When human gets free from the system of Allah , he become so careful about formalities to cover his deficit m redeem and compact for themselves.

Notice an unlearnt man , he puts four pens in his pocket , or an uncultured man has a library full of books , he might arrange them wrongly , this situation called compensation , the human who has lack of something tries to offset by something else.

Therefore , the tripes were almost got in a terrible battles on the holy land , blood was almost shed just for the honor of carrying the Black Stone, while they worship statues and idols as gods .

Brothers, there is a very large contradiction , on the one hand keen on something , and on the other one lose things , and modern Muslims suffer from this kind of contradiction , Muslim keen on having right fasting and is afraid of having a grain of sesame among his teeth or breaking his fasting, while he doesn’t care of doing prohibited things .

This ill personality , it’s a contradicted one , its personality which follows tiny things and tolerate huge ones , this personality is unacceptable .

Back to our idea, but /Abe- Umayya Bin Al-Mughira / suggested consulting the first man enters into the holy land , the accepted { it’s an old way of solving problems}, so Allah wanted Muhammad to be than person , when they so him , they exclaimed : ya here is the curator  Muhammad , he had never worshipped an idol , never drunk wine , never stolen money , never rapped someone or even shed blood , we cant refuse someone like him .

When he reached them and had been told the issue he asked for a piece of drapery , put the Stone in it and gave a party for each boss of the conflicted groups .

Nowadays there is an idiom {circular table} because if it was rectangular , we would ask who would set there ???

So to avoid arguments circular table was invented , these are only old customs and traditions but prophet Muhammad behaved with the problem of the respected place by following this rule { when he got in a place full off people , he sat at the end of them , he ordered doing this } he [pbuh] said : { use your right / the opposite of left/ in every thing} , so, he solved the problem of hospitality by these words { start with the right } once he was at a feast and a boy was sitting near him , when food was served , he asked that boy : would you please let me start hosting with the man after you ??? the boy answered : no I don’t it is my right to have something from your hand .

Look at his system , encouraging hospitality from the right whosoever was on the right .

If there was a problem about anything , he used lot , it is great to use it when your kids arguing of who sleeps on the bed by the window which has a beautiful view , use lot.   So , the solution was carrying the Stone by the piece of drapery, every boss of group carried a party of the drapery , he ordered them to reach Kaaba and then he carried It by his noble hands , that was the solution which was accepted by everyone .

When we apply the messengers instructions , arguments will be disappeared .

Now , there is an important point . when Kuraish decided to use only Halal in building Kaaba , there was lack of money , for this , they reduced the volume of it from the north area , that spot is called Al-Hutaim.

If Allah lionizes you one day to His Home as Hajj or Omra , you see an arch at the north direction , this arch is Kaaba s . so, Kaaba was rectangular but when they needed money , they stopped before Al-Hutaim.

Therefore , if you cruise around Kaaba , you shouldn’t enter inside the arch , unless your cruise will be invalid.

4-Observing common opinion :

After prophet Muhammad had been revealed and he invited people to Allah's road , he said to Aiesha / his wife/ :

{unless your people were new inverted Muslims, I would complete building Kaaba as it had been before}, here is the most important point I want , Muslim has to observe the general opinion , concerning not to deviate from the main line.

You may be invited into a lunch by your friend , but you don’t trust in his money if it was Halal or not , even if you doubt about his money you have to go to his invitation , believe me I see a lot of people who destroy every thing around them because of a notless reason.

Prophet Muhammad could continue building Kaaba , but he was worried about facing rude criticism , so, he chose the better solution .

From here Omar Bin Al-Khattab said : { you are not the best when you know the good , not even when you know the evil , but you are the best when you know the two evils , distinguish between them and choose the easier}

Prophet Muhammad said : { keep away from the goodness which the evil grows out of it }

Ex. You are ordered to visit your relatives , but you have an aunt whose daughters have no morals so, they sit in front of you with indecent clothes , they get fun of your religion and encroaching on you because you are in the same age , this visit doesn’t comfort you so , Prophet Muhammad said : { keep away from the goodness which the evil grows out of it }

There is an Islamic rule { avoiding the corruption is more important than bringing the goodness }

Kaaba becomes nearly a square whose high is 15 meters and the side including the Black Stone is 10 meters while the Stone is located one meter and a half higher from the floor , the other side including the door of Kaaba is 2 meters higher from the floor

5- Rightness in ancient:

Right and false, goodness and evil and prohibited and allowed are planted inside human beings , man is the man everywhere and every time , prophet Muhammad was wise when he observes the general atmosphere , he was legit when he refused having a revolt around inviting to Allah .

Prophets Muhammad’s life in Mecca :

1-Unerring thoughts and legit view :

Now, I am going to talk about messenger s whole life in Mecca .

Actually, Muhammad /pbuh/ collected the perfection in every kind of  humans , he had the most magnificent kind of unerring thoughts and legit sights , he got also smartness and intellect , choosing the affective instruments and clear goal , he assisted himself by his long quietness.

Dear brothers, without exaggeration nothing effects people as much as high morals do

Ibn Al-Kaiem said a great motto [ believing is morals , the one who is better than you in morals is better than you in believing ]

Even though prophet Muhammad /pbuh/ was supported by the inspiration ,was given miracles and very noble character , Allah said to him :[And had you been severe and harsh-hearted , they would have broken away from about you , so pass over {their faults} and ask Allah's forgiveness for them and consult them in the affairs . Then when you have taken a decision , put your trust in Allah , certainly , Allah loves those who put their trust {in Him}]

159 Al-Imraan

And you see a prayerful man who pretends to have strong believing , while deals with people rudely and servely with no wisdom m he might be a good worshipper but he does prohibited things like taking other peoples things so, prophet Muhammad had unerring thoughts and legit view .

2- The importance of Muslims unerring thinking and legit view in their personal lives :

I want you to know something , that unerring thinking and legit view are Allah's grace to his slaves , but the one who cuts away from Allah , Allah said about him :[ But those who disbelieve { in the oneness of Allah-Islamic Monotheism} , for them is destruction , and Allah will make their deeds vain ]

8 Muhammad

Sometimes a smart man behaves stupidly, for this Allah gives wisdom and good thinking in difficult situations to his believers , He said in Quraan :[ He grants Hikmah {wisdom} to whom He wills and he , to whom wisdom is granted , is indeed granted abundant good ]

269 Al-Baqara

3- Prophet Muhammad's wisdom :

look at that person who faced this problem : the leader of al-ansar [people who were living in Almandine and met messenger and emigrants from Mecca to  Almandine and shared their own things with them ] . that leader said : [ O messenger , my people are annoyed about you because of some belongings which you prevented them from to take them ] Messenger Muhammad said : [ O Saad { his name} do you agree with your people ??] he answered :[ yes, I do .] Messenger said : [ok , gather your people and come to me .]

Now realize how Muhammad will behave wisely . He made a speech among them saying : [O ansar I was told that you have something against me in yourselves because of some belongings I gave to people to encourage them while I am leaving you to your Islam ]

Here he opened Mecca [ in this time he ruled Al-Jazeera from west to east .

When he opened Mecca he could behave like strongs , destroy al-ansar , servile them , even ignore them , or punish them hardly , but he continued : [ I swear that if you want you can say anything about me it will be truth and you will be believed , you can say to me :{ you come to us while every one discredit you and we believed you , you were poor and we enrich you , you were dismissed and we sheltered you}]

Messenger Muhammad /pbuh/ reminded them with their favor on him , sometimes you can say : sorry , it was my fault please forgive me . and every thing will be over , you don’t need to enter courts for 18 years , stop sleeping ,and spend your money on lawyers just because you made a mistake and didn’t apologize, behave wisely , a nice word ends problems even between couples , a man made a mistake , he shouldn’t say to his wife its your fault just say it is my fault please forgive me ... try to remind others of their favor on you .

Muhammad was very strong , ruled Al-Jazeera and said to them :[weren’t you enemies and Allah made you friends , weren’t you poor and Allah enrich you , didn’t you satisfy that people take their prizes while you win messenger to go with him to our home land .]

Then he continued :[if people walked in a canyon and al-ansar climbed a mountain , I would walk with al-ansar , O Allah send your mercy upon al-ansar and upon their children and their grand-children .]

Here , al-ansar cried until their beard got wet and said : [we complacent with Muhammad as a messenger from Allah ]

If you are with Allah , so you are wise , if you aren’t with Him so you are an idiot and this sappiness will drive you to hell .

4- Muhammad's repulsion from worshipping status and idols before the revealation :

He got enough amount of high intellect , real ideas , and correct instruments , he assisted his deep meditation by his long quietness and addicting ideas .

He read by his lush mind and intact instinct life s papers and people s concerns , and groups effort . By doing this he was cured of superstitions and lived with people under light . he shared people with what is good and distance himself away from what is bad [here he was coming back to his stable isolation] he /pbuh/ had never drunk wine or eaten what people slaughter for idols, or even gone to a party or a celebration which made for status and idols .

Since he was born , he refused his people s worship and their swearing by Allat and Alozza [ their gods] his intact nature rejected worshipping an idol or swearing with their gods , or drinking wine.

For this Muhammad says :[ the best of you in Al-Jahelia /pre-Islam/ are the best after Islam .]

Ex. If one of Al-Jahelia inverted to Islam and he was known that he is a generous man and brave, Muhammad /pbuh/ was saying to him:[you are inverted to Islam on your past]

With no doubt Allah surrounded him with His saving , because when souls desires move up to reconnoiter, life’s lusts or accept some unacceptable traditions, Allah intermediates to stop it.

Muhammad/pbuh/ was the best in his people by his noble morals and virtuous manners, he was the best in courage , morals and protecting neighbors , forgiveness , honesting till his people called him Al-Amin it means [ the most honest one].

His wife /Khadija/ the mother believers said about him :[he helps the tired , spends his money on the poor , hospitates strangers , grants victory to casualties]

5- Its stuck inside humans that Allah doesn’t leave a believer:

Coming back to instincts , when Allah send his message to messenger Muhammad by the inspiration the first time , Muhammad run to his home saying : [cover me , cover me .] Khadija/his wife / said to him :[ I swear that Allah wont leave you alone , you help the tired , spend his money on the poor , hospitate strangers , grant victory to casualties]

Imagine that even before Quraan , before prophet Muhammad speaks , it is stuck in the deep of people that Allah doesn’t neglect a believer .

For this I am talking now to the young guys who are in life now , Allah says :[whosoever works righteousness-whether male or female- while he /or she/ is a true believer verily , to him We will give a good life.]

97 Al-Nahl

[Or do those who earn evil deeds think that We shall hold them equal with those who believe {in the oneness of Allah-Islamic Monotheism} and do righteous good deeds , in their present life and after their death ?? Worst is the judgment that they make .]

21 Al-Jathiyah

A word for the young guys:

I say to guys : if you are straight ,friendly , positive and honest , you have to be completely sure that Allah wont let you lose and He wont leave you with no help

Allah says : [Or do those who earn evil deeds think that We shall hold them equal with those who believe {in the oneness of Allah-Islamic Monotheism} and do righteous good deeds , in their present life and after their death ?? Worst is the judgment that they make .]

21 Al-Jathiyah

and He says:[Is then he who is a believer like him who is a fasiq {disbeliever and disobedient to Allah} ?? not equal are they.]

18  As-sajdah

[Shall We then treat the Muslims {believers of Islamic Monotheism , doers of righteous deeds} like the Mujrimum {criminals , polytheists and disbelievers}??

What is the matter with you ?? how judge you??]

35””36 Al-Qalam

Allah says too : [Is he whom we have promised an excellent promise {Paradise}-which he will find true- like him whom we have made to enjoy the luxuries of the life of {this }world, then on the Day of Resurrection , he will be among those brought up { to be punished in the Hell-fire} ??]

61 Al-Qasas

O brothers , believer is optimist , he conceives deeply that Allah wont let him down .

I am saying to guys that life is difficult, employment is getting less and less, housing is difficult even getting marriage , but you have to be straight and Allah will manage the rest, its said that :[Allah promises you : it is the right of a Muslim on Allah that he will be helped if he wants the personal protection from the lusts]

One of my relatives wake up in the morning and saw his wife screaming , he asked her : what happened? She answered : our daughter got a palsy.!!!

He said calmly: No, Allah wont do this to me .

He trusted in Allah then it was proved that it was a momentary sickness , looks like a palsy , but it is not palsy at all .

I hope that you trust in Allah , He wont leave you Allah says : be as I want , I will be as you want.

The one who makes all anxieties one anxiety / the anxiety of the life-after / Allah will protect him from the other temporary anxiety .

And praises be to Allah
