Lesson 17 – "If a rebellious evil person comes to you with a news…"

In the Name of Allah, The Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Dear noble brothers, we are discussing a new lesson of this series about the Ayaat that start with, "O you who believe…", and today's Ayah is:

(O you who believe! If a rebellious evil person comes to you with a news, verify it, lest you harm people in ignorance, and afterwards you become regretful to what you have done.)

[Al-Hujuraat, 6]

This person is a debaucher or a sinner:

(O you who believe! If a rebellious evil person comes to you with a news, verify it, lest you harm people in ignorance, and afterwards you become regretful to what you have done.)

[Al-Hujuraat, 6]

How many women got divorce due to groundless news! How many companies were ended due to groundless news! How many wars were launched due to groundless news! How many organizations were destroyed due to groundless news!
Due to the grave nature of this sin, which might directly affect Muslims' interests, Allah the Almighty has mentioned it in the Wise Reminder (the Noble Quran):

(O you who believe! If a rebellious evil person comes to you with a news, verify it, lest you harm people in ignorance, and afterwards you become regretful to what you have done.)

[Al-Hujuraat, 6]

Every person who is in a ruling or leading position is in dire need of this Ayah more than anyone else:

(O you who believe! If a rebellious evil person comes to you with a news, verify it, lest you harm people in ignorance, and afterwards you become regretful to what you have done.)

[Al-Hujuraat, 6]
