In the Name of Allah, The Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Dear brothers,
Abu Hurairah narrated that:
((The Messenger of Allah said, "There are two joys for the fasting person: the joy when he breaks his fast, and the joy of when he meets his Lord."))
His moment of joy when Ramadan is over comes from being helped (by Allah) to fast the days of Ramadan. When Shawwal comes, fasting is over, but you will have the reward and forgiveness (from Allah the Almighty). On the other hand, the one who does not fast in Ramadan (without an excuse), breaks his Siyaam and eats like all people on the first day of Shawwal, but he gets only disappointment and loss.
Verily, the weariness of any act of obedience passes, but its reward stays, whereas the joy of every sin passes, but its burden stays.
