Lesson 28 – "Obey Allah, and obey the Messenger (Muhammad PBUH) and render not vain your deeds."

In the Name of Allah, The Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Dear noble brothers, we are discussing a new lesson of this series about the Ayaat that start with, "O you who believe…", and today's Ayah is:

"Obey Allah, and obey the Messenger (Muhammad PBUH) and render not vain your deeds."

[ [Muhammad, 33] ]

Your deeds might be wholesale rejected and become in vain, and this is called "Ihbat Al-Amal" (when deeds become fruitless). The deed might be accepted by people, but the intentions behind it might be evil. The deed also might not be accepted, and so it becomes fruitless when it contradicts As-Sunnah and the Noble Quran. Furthermore, the deed becomes fruitless, though it might be accepted by people, if it is not done with  good-faith, and it is not done for the sake of Allah. Allah the Almighty says:

"Obey Allah, and obey the Messenger (Muhammad PBUH) and render not vain your deeds."

[ [Muhammad, 33] ]

What is the feeling of someone who sold his very expensive house, and then found out that the money he received were counterfeit? What is the feeling of someone who spent 10 years studying and then found out that his license is not valid in his country? This is exactly the example of having someone's deeds rejected and becoming fruitless.

It is so hard to see one's deeds in vain, and it is like someone who paid 50 million for a house and then found out that the person who sold him the house is not its owner. Indeed, it is very hard dear brothers.
