In the Name of Allah, The Most Gracious, Most Merciful
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds, and peace and blessings be upon our Master Muhammad, the Faithful and the Honest.
Submission is based on knowledge. Knowing beyond doubt that everything is in the Hand of Allah, and that Allah has Power over all things and He is Merciful and has created us to grant us happiness in this life and the life after, draws the outlines in our faith and pushes us to submit to Allah.
When we say, "Let us take this child to his mother', we mean that the "mother" is mercy beyond doubt. Much in the same line, the more we know Allah, the more submissive we will be to Him. He is the Creator, The Initiator, The Supreme Fashioner, The Lord, The Deity, The Wise and The All-Knowing. His Names are beautiful and His Attributes are exalted.
When everything is in His Hand, submitting to Him will be inevitable, namely, submission is proportional to how much we know. Take for example a father who is having a surgery, his youngest child will not understand that this surgery is in the best interest of his father, whereas his older brother will understand that his father will recover in 4 or 5 hours after the surgery is over. The sanest man is, the more submissive he will be to Allah the Almighty.
