Ramadan Lectures- Ramadan Notions 1445H- Lesson 18: When is the Reward for Obedience Doubled?

In the Name of Allah, The Most Gracious, Most Merciful

When is the reward for obedience doubled?

By the way, dear brothers, when the wisdom behind an act of obedience becomes clear, and so you start performing it, you will be rewarded for it, but when the wisdom is unknown to you, and you keep performing this act of obedience, the reward for it will be doubled.
Accordingly, when the wisdom behind performing a certain act of obedience becomes clear to man, the reward will be less, but when the wisdom remains unknown, and he keeps performing it, the reward will be doubled. For instance, eating is permissible, and as a human being, I need to eat, but I can neither eat nor drink in Ramadan. Well, you will not be able to convince a non-Muslim to fast, because he will say, "This is beyond my scope. Why should I abstain from eating?"
The Muslim believes in a wonderful truth, which is submitting to the Way of Allah the Almighty.

((Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, "Allah the Exalted and Majestic said: 'Every act of the son of Adam is for him, except As-Siyam (the fasting) which is (exclusively) for Me, and I will reward him for it.'))

[ Agreed upon, on the authority of Abi Hurairah ]
