Friday Sermon (1196): s1- Man is the foremost Creature, raising children up, s2, Contemplation

In the Name of Allah, The Most Gracious, Most Merciful

The first sermon;

Man is the first creature in the universe:
Dear brother, the one who knew himself well, knew his Lord; so who are you? Do you believe that you are the first creature in the universe, Almighty Allah says;

{Truly, We did offer Al-Amanah (the trust or moral responsibility or honesty and all the duties which Allah has ordained) to the heavens and the earth, and the mountains, but they declined to bear it and were afraid of it (i.e. afraid of Allah's Torment). But man bore it. Verily, he was unjust (to himself) and ignorant (of its results).}

(Al-Ahzab 72)

And because he accepted to bear the trust he is the first creature, Almighty Allah says;

{And has subjected to you all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth; it is all as a favour and kindness from Him. Verily, in it are signs for a people who think deeply.}

(Al-Jathiyah-13)

image
Allah subjected the universe for human to honor him and to let him know Allah through the universe, when the prophet (PBUH) saw the crescent he said;

"A new moon -a good and a guide."

We benefit from the crescent and it guides us to the creator of the universe

{ And on the earth are signs for those who have Faith with certainty,}

(Addharyat 20)

Anything in the universe has two tasks, the first one is utilitarian task we benefit from it and the second is guiding task, it guides us to Allah, when you have some honey that honey benefits you and guides you to the creator of the universe

When Man knows Allah he situates himself above angels

Dear brother, you are the first creature, when you know Allah you position yourself above angels

{Verily, those who believe [in the Oneness of Allah, and in His Messenger Muhammad including all obligations ordered by Islam] and do righteous good deeds, they are the best of creatures.}

(Al-Baiyyinah-7)

If man neglects his message and neglects his mission and he indulges in pleasures he would be the worst of creatures

{Verily, those who disbelieve (in the religion of Islam, the Qur'an and Prophet Muhammad from among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) and Al-Mushrikun will abide in the Fire of Hell. They are the worst of creatures}

(Al-Baiyyinah 7)

Man is the honored creature

Dear brother,

{And indeed We have honoured the Children of Adam, and We have carried them on land and sea, and have provided them with lawful good things, and have preferred them above many of those whom We have created with a marked preference}

(Israa' -70)

Man has a mind that comprehends, a heart that loves and a mobile body, and he should fulfill the mind’s need with knowledge, the heart’s needs with love and the body’s needs with food and drinks, and he who fulfills these needs will excel, but he who fulfills a need while neglecting the sh3er will deviate, and there is a big difference between the excellence and the deviation. Man has a mind that comprehends, he should fulfill the mind’s need with knowledge, knowledge is the highest need in man. In the worldly life there are mundane needs; food, drink, a wife and a position but the highest need is to search for the truth. But the one who doesn’t search for the truth and never asks why was I created and who created me and he indulged in pleasures, he would be far away from the purpose he was created for

People are two kinds:

Dear brother Almighty Allah, has divided people into only two types, no matter what their different paths, religions, associations, races, ancestors, doctrines, denominations are., The first type is one who recognized Allah, and stuck to His path, and did good to His creatures; thus became happy in this life and the afterlife. And the second one is a disbeliever, who neglected Allah, refused truth, evaded His path, and did bad to His creatures; thus became miserable both in this life and the afterlife, and there is no third type. Almighty Allah says;

{As for him who gives (in charity) and keeps his duty to Allah and fears Him, And believes in Al-Husna.}

(Al-Lail 5-6)

The first type believes in Al-Husna, AL-Husna is the paradise this means that he believes that he was created for the paradise and according to this belief he does righteous deeds he gives charity and he keeps his duty to Allah

{But he who is a greedy miser and thinks himself self-sufficient.. And gives the lie to Al-Husna }

(Al-lail 8-9}

The second type is the one who refused the truth and disbelieved in the hereafter

{As for him who gives (in charity) and keeps his duty to Allah and fears Him, And believes in Al-Husna, But he who is greedy miser and thinks himself self-sufficient. And gives the lie to Al-Husna }

(Al-lail -5-9)

The victory, dear brother, is to be the first type who knows Allah and draws near to Him, stuck to His path, and did good to His creatures; thus became happy in this life and the afterlife.

The divisions that people made are refused by Allah

Dear brother, all the divisions that people made are refused by Allah, the noble Qurandepended on;

{O mankind! We have created you from a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that you may know one another. Verily, the most honourable of you with Allah is that (believer) who has At-Taqwa [i.e. one of the Muttaqun -pious (Verily, Allah is All-Knowing, All-Aware.}

( Al-Hujuraat-13)

Abu Lahab was the uncle of the Prophet

{Perish the two hands of Abu Lahab (an uncle of the Prophet), and perish he!}

(Al-Massad -1)

When the companions mentioned our master Al sedeeq they said; he is our master who set our master Bilal free, our master al sedeeq went to buy our master Bilal he put his hand under Bilal ‘s armpit and said; this is my brother truly
image
Any discrimination which is based on color, race, class or money is pre Islamic discrimination

"Salman is one of us, Ahl al-Bayt (the prophet’s family)."

"What a good servant Suhaib is! If he didn’t fear Allah, he would not disobey Him."

Dear brother, if the classification of humans is not objective we will not ascend and we will not be able to achieve victory over our enemies, the classification of people should be objective, it should depend on giving and deeds and should not be racial that is why you should ask yourself a question what did you offer your nation ? were you a good father, a good mother or a good brother? ask yourself this question. When man is put in the grave the first night which is the most difficult night it will be said to him; my servant they returned to their houses and they left you here, they buried you and if they stayed with you they wouldn’t benefit you and no one is left to you except I the Ever Living One Who dies not

The rational is the one who lives the future

Dear brother, the first problem is that most of the people live their current moment or their past, I was, I did, I travelled, I paid, I bought, in the past or now I own a house, I have four children. but man thinks rarely about the future, what about the future ? The most dangerous event in the future is to leave the worldly life, from one’s house to a grave, from a house which has many rooms -dining room, living room, bed room etc - to a small grave. What is there in the grave? the smart one is the one who lives the future, every creature dies except the living one who dies not

No matter how long the night is dawn shall certainly come
No matter how long man lives he must die and be engraved

Worshiping Allah is the reason behind our existence on earth

What is the reason behind our existence on earth? Someone might send his son abroad to study for his PhD. We can say that the objective for his son being in Paris is one thing only..in Paris there are sidewalk cafes, parks, movie theaters, operas, universities, residential apartments, factories etc. his objective for being in Paris is one thing only and that is to get his PhD from the Sorbone. Would you believe, that your aim of existence in this world is one thing only and that is to worship Allah. Many Muslims think, when they read the word ‘Worship’, that it means only praying.. It is much more than that. In fact, it means to pray, fast, pay Zakat (alms), to perform Haj, these are the ritual part in the worship, whereas the transactional worship consists of more than one hundred thousand parts; earning money, spending your money, your relationship with your neighbor, how to choose your wife, how to raise your children, how to cure your sick, therefore the Prophet, (PBUH) indicated that when someone knows Allah, he should be trustworthy, honest, kind, patient, these are all refined morals for the relational worship. And your ritual worship will not be accepted if your relational worship is not correct.

“Leaving one cent of an illegal income is far better than worshiping Allah for one whole year.”

Therefore, my gain is that my motion in this life is according to Allah’s laws; my earning, my spending money, my relationship with women, my relationship with close kins, my relationship with my wife, with those who raise me. All these relationships should be according to the rules that Allah has set for us. Therefore do not be so naive as to think that Islam is only fasting, praying, paying your alms (zakat), performing Haj, it is a whole integrated system that starts from your marriage which is the most intimate relationship and ends in international relations.
Allah says:

{And I (Allah) created not the jinns and humans except they should worship Me (Alone).}

(Adh-dahriyatt 56)

image
Allah never wanted our relation with Him to be a compulsory one but He wanted it to be based on love

(There is no compulsion in religion}

(Al-Bakara 256)

{Allah will bring a people whom He will love and they will love Him;}

(Al-Maidah -54)

{But those who believe, love Allah more (than anything else}

( Al-Bakara 165)

Worship is a voluntary obedience, mixed with heartily love based on certain knowledge that leads to eternal happiness

Obey Our Order, and We'll remove the covers for you,
We grant Our Content to the one who loves Us;
And seek refuge with Us to protect you from Our slaves who are malevolent;
And let nothing distract you from Our Remembrance, and be faithful –you will live happily;
If you see Our Beauty that they have seen, you will never turn away from Us;
And, if you hear Our Good Word, you will take off your garment of vainglory;
And if you feel the breeze of Our Nearness, you will live estranged, of Our Nearness desperate;
And you wouldn't blame who died for the Love of us, a speck of Love, if you taste it.
***

Dear brother, is it appropriate for you to love other than Allah? The One, The Self-Sufficient Master, the creator of the universe, this great God? Don’t you fear His punishment? Don’t you want His paradise? Don’t you seek His love?

You disobey the Lord wile you claim to love Him!
Such is indeed an amazing claim!
If your love were true, you would obey Him.
Verily, he who loves someone does obey him.

Ways to Allah are countless:

image
Dear brother, one of the characteristics of the believer is the fact that he has a message, the Muslim in Australia, because he is Muslim, he should carry a message, the one who doesn't have a message is not a believer, the sign of your belief is the message that you should convey, you may convey it by your tongue or through your work and you may convey it through your honesty and through the perfection of your work. You may convey it through being a good father, you can convey the message through countless ways, that is why it was said the paths to Allah are countless, you can achieve paradise through raising your children,, by the way, the subject of raising the children up is very important. I was in America in the reign of president Clinton, I told them, if you achieved the position of Clinton, the wealth of Onassis and the knowledge of Einstein but your son wasn't as you hoped him to be, you would be the most miserable person on earth

Raising children up is the most important subject in the life of the human

One of the biggest reasons behind the misery of the father is to see his son turn out not to be as he hoped him to, he neither cares about religion nor about piety nor about uprightness, the highest price that parents abroad pay is their children, and that is why dear brother, what I hope for from the depth of my heart is to give priority to raising children over anything else, the most important thing is when your son knows his nation, religion and when he fears Allah and performs the acts of worship. The basic thing abroad is raising children and that requires cooperation. image
When the son becomes aware of obeying Allah and awakens to the dawn prayers and to an upright father who lowers his gaze and to a sublime relationship with the mother and finds the honesty, patience and faithfulness in his house; he acquires and adopts these manners. The first subject in this meeting is raising children because there are countless consequences for living abroad, in other words, now science starts to move from description to math, in the past we used to say there is a noise that is description but now we say the noise is one hundred and thirty decibel we have measurement units to noise if we had measurement units to raising children one hundred years ago you would need fifty units now you would need one million measurement units for raising children in a loose community
There is another issue; there are two kinds of mistakes, one that is irreversible and one that can be rectified, so when your son makes a mistake, you can’t do anything about the first type whereas for the second kind of mistake, you have to let it go. When the son is in distress, he puts his parents in distress. And the most dangerous thing for our Muslim brother in the West, and the far East is for their son to go astray, no religious values; he does what he wants with no limits, everything is permissible. Such a son is the cause of his parents’ misery.
Dear brother, think of your acts and deeds and weigh them before Allah holds you to account, and know that death has passed us to sh3er, and it will pass sh3er to come to us. The wise one is the one who commits himself and works for what comes after death, and the helpless is the one who follows his desires and make wishes.
Praise be to Allah

The second sermon;

Praise be to Allah, the Sustainer of the worlds. And I bear witness that there is no god except Allah, the Protector of the righteous, and I bear witness that our Prophet Muhammad is His Servant and Messenger who is endowed with a Great character. May Allah's peace and blessings be upon Him and his folks and companions

Contemplation on is the first act of worship:

Dear brother, in the noble Quran there are legislation verses, universal verses and story verses, and what attracts the attention is that there are one thousand three hundred verses that talk about the universe;
When there is verse that has a command, we should obey that command, and when there is prohibition in another verse, we should avoid what is has prohibited us from, and we should learn lessons from the stories of the Prophets. Each kind of these verses has an objective, so what is our duty towards the verses that talk about the Universe?

{And by the sun and its brightness, And by the moon as it follows it (the sun)}

(Al-shams -1-2)

{By the dawn;. By the ten nights (i.e. the first ten days of the month of Dhul-Hijjah),}

(Al-Fajr -1-2)

{By the night as it envelops And by the day as it appears in brightness And by Him Who created male and female;. Certainly, your efforts and deeds are diverse (different in aims and purposes);}

(Al-lail -1-4)

{Verily! In the creation of the heavens and the earth, and in the alternation of night and day, there are indeed signs for men of understanding. Those who remember Allah (always, and in prayers) standing, sitting, and lying down on their sides, and think deeply about the creation of the heavens and the earth, (saying): "Our Lord! You have not created (all) this without purpose, glory to You! (Exalted be You above all that they associate with You as partners). Give us salvation from the torment of the Fire.}

(Al-Imran -190-191)

Contemplation on the universe is the first worship because it is the shortest way to Allah and the widest door from which we enter to Allah because contemplation puts us face to face with the greatness of Allah.

The Creator the universes is the one who sent down the Quran:

image
Dear brother, when the astronaut ascended to the moon and went beyond the air layer which is fifty six thousand km he shouted loudly; we become blind we see nothing, why? Because there is no scattering light after the air layer, that was discovered after Apollo's landing on the moon but when we open the noble Quran which was sent down one thousand four hundred years ago we read Allah's Words;

{And even if We opened to them a gate from the heaven and they were to continue ascending thereto, They would surely say: "Our eyes have been (as if) dazzled. Nay, we are a people bewitched."}

(Al-Hijr-14-15)

If your belief increased your uprightness would increase:

Dear brother, contemplation on the creation of the universe is the shortest way to Allah and the widest door from which you can enter to Allah, one thousand three hundred verses in the Quran indicate the creation of the universe and the creation of the human and contemplation is a part of worship, in some hadiths there is no worship like contemplation., contemplation for an hour is better than fasting two months
Dear brother you should get used to contemplate; the water that you drink, the baby in front of you who was a drop of water nine months ago, head, hair, eyes, nose, ears, mouth, digestion system, muscles, respiratory system, who created him ?

{Then tell Me (about) the human semen that you emit. Is it you who create it (i.e. make this semen into a perfect human being), or are We the Creator?}

(Al-waqia -58-59)

If your belief increased, your uprightness will increase because if you believed in Allah and if your belief was based on contemplation and certitude then it is impossible to disobey Allah knowing Allah is one of the reasons behind obeying Allah

{And even if We opened to them a gate from the heaven and they were to continue ascending thereto, They would surely say: "Our eyes have been (as if) dazzled. Nay, we are a people bewitched."}

(Al-Hijr-14-15)

Imam Ali may Allah be pleased with him said; (in the Noble Quran there are many verses that have not been interpreted yet).
