Ramadan Hadiths- (11): Feeding People

In the Name of Allah, The Most Gracious, Most Merciful

('Abdullah bin Salam (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) saying, "O people, exchange greetings of peace (i.e., say: As-Salamu 'Alaikum to one another), feed people, strengthen the ties of kinship, and be in prayer when others are asleep, you will enter Jannah in peace.")

[At-Tirmizi]

‏
If there are 45 minutes left before Fajr time, will you uncover yourself and say: "Let me offer night prayer and make Munajat (secretly talk) to Allah tonight"?

﴾Perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat) from mid-day till the darkness of the night (i.e. the Zuhr,'Asr, Maghrib, and 'Isha' prayers), and recite the Qur'an in the early dawn (i.e. the morning prayer). Verily, the recitation of the Qur'an in the early dawn is ever witnessed (attended by the angels in charge of mankind of the day and the night)* And in some parts of the night (also) offer the Salat (prayer) with it (i.e. recite the Qur'an in the prayer), as an additional prayer (Tahajjud optional prayer Nawafil) for you (O Muhammad PBUH. It may be that your Lord will raise you to Maqaman Mahmuda (a station of praise and glory, i.e. the highest degree in Paradise!).﴿

 [Al-Isra', 78-79]

This exalted station comes from night prayers and from offering good deeds. Thus, two things exalt you in the Sight of Allah: night prayers and good deeds.

(Abu Hurairah narrated: Allah's Messenger (PBUH) said, "Our Lord, the Blessed, the Superior, comes every night down on the nearest Heaven to us when the last third of the night remains, saying: "Is there anyone to invoke Me, so that I may respond to invocation? Is there anyone to ask Me, so that I may grant him his request? Is there anyone seeking My forgiveness, so that I may forgive him?")
