Friday Sermon (0682): The Situation of Muslims & Their Enemies. 2nd Khutbah: Fasting & the Process of Digesting

In the Name of Allah, The Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Allah’s Promises cannot be nullified:

Dear brother, Allah the Exalted says:

(Verily, Fir'aun (Pharaoh) exalted himself in the land and made its people sects, weakening (oppressing) a group (i.e. Children of Israel) among them, killing their sons, and letting their females live. Verily, he was of the Mufsidun (i.e. those who commit great sins and crimes, oppressors, tyrants, etc.)* And We wished to do a favour to those who were weak (and oppressed) in the land, and to make them rulers and to make them the inheritors,* And to establish them in the land, and We let Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and Haman and their hosts receive from them that which they feared.)

[Al-Qasas: 4-6]

Allah the Almighty tells us about these things, and who is truer in statement than Allah? Therefore, annihilating the universe is easier to Allah than keeping His promises to the believers unfulfilled. Allah the Almighty says:

(Allah has promised those among you who believe, and do righteous good deeds, that He will certainly grant them succession to (the present rulers) in the earth, as He granted it to those before them, and that He will grant them the authority to practice their religion, that which He has chosen for them (i.e. Islam). And He will surely give them in exchange a safe security after their fear.)

[An-Nur: 55]

The following Ayah completes the above mentioned one, Allah says:

(Then, there has succeeded them a posterity who have given up As-Salat (the prayers) [i.e. made their Salat (prayers) to be lost, either by not offering them or by not offering them perfectly or by not offering them in their proper fixed times, etc.] and have followed lusts. So they will be thrown in Hell.)

[Maryam: 59]

Muslims have been thrown in an earthly Hell as a punishment for giving up their prayers (performing them improperly) and following their lusts.

Allah's victory is closely related to reconciling with Him:

Dear brother, one of the Ad'iyah (the plural of Du'a- supplications) which are mentioned in the Noble Quran is Allah's Saying:

(Our Lord! Lay not on us a burden like that which You did lay on those before us (Jews and Christians); our Lord! Put not on us a burden greater than we have strength to bear. Pardon us and grant us Forgiveness. Have mercy on us. You are our Maula (Patron, Suppor-ter and Protector, etc.) and give us victory over the disbelieving people.")

[Al-Baqarah: 286]

Allah the Almighty assures the believers saying:

(If Allah helps you, none can overcome you; and if He forsakes you, who is there after Him that can help you? And in Allah (Alone) let believers put their trust.)

[Aal-'Imran: 160]

Read the Quran attentively, dear brother, because it contains the answers for all enquiries. Allah the Almighty says:

(Such is Allah your Lord; His is the kingdom. And those, whom you invoke or call upon instead of Him, own not even a Qitmir (the thin membrane over the date-stone).)

[Fatir: 13]

 Also, Almighty Allah says:

(And incline not toward those who do wrong, lest the Fire should touch you, and you have no protectors other than Allah, nor you would then be helped.)

[Hud: 113]

There is no need to explain those Ayat; they are crystal clear, so what we are supposed to do is reconciling with Allah the Almighty and get back to Him, because our right upon Him is to grant us victory. Allah says:

(Verily, Allah will help those who help His (Cause). Truly, Allah is All-Strong, All-Mighty.)

[Al-Hajj: 40]

The connection between the increasing evil and the general destruction:
Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, said: The Prophet, Peace be upon him, said:

((Woe to Arabs because of evil which has drawn near! He will escape who restrains his hand.))

[Abu Dawood, from Abi Hurairah]

Also, Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him said: The Prophet, Peace be upon him, said:

((Be prompt in doing good deeds (before you are overtaken) by turbulence which would be like a part of the dark night. A man would be a believer in the morning and turn to disbelief in the evening, or he would be a believer in the evening and turn disbeliever in the morning, and would sell his Faith for worldly goods.))

[Muslim, from Abi Hurairah]

Zainab bint Ummu Salamah narrated from Ummu Habibah who narrated from Zainab bint Jahsh, may Allah be pleased with them, she said:

((The Prophet, peace be upon him, got up from his sleep with a flushed red face and said, "None has the right to be worshipped but Allah. Woe to the Arabs, from the Great evil that is nearly approaching them. Today a gap has been made in the wall of Gog and Magog like this." (Sufyan illustrated by this forming the number 90 or 100 with his fingers.) It was asked, "Shall we be destroyed though there are righteous people among us?" The Prophet, peace be upon him, said, "Yes, if evil increased."))

[Al-Bukhari, from Zainab bint Jahsh]

Some of the interpreters of Hadith said, "This Hadith can be understood in accordance with Allah's Saying:

(And fear the Fitnah (affliction and trial, etc.) which affects not in particular (only) those of you who do wrong (but it may afflict all the good and the bad people),)

[Al-Anfal: 25]

It is when Muslims do not enjoin Ma'ruf and forbid Munkar, and when they are no longer concerned with Muslims' worries.
In another narration: Zainab bint Ummu Salamah narrated from Ummu Habibah who narrated from Zainab bint Jahsh, may Allah be pleased with them, she said:

((One day the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, awoke from sleep with a flushed red face, and said: 'La Ilahaillallah (None has the right to be worshipped but Allah). Woe to the Arabs from the evil drawn near. Today a gap has been made in the wall of Ya'juj and Ma'juj like this.' And he formed ten (with his fingers). Zainab said: "I said: 'O Messenger of Allah! Shall we be destroyed while they are righteous among us?' He said: 'Yes, when the evil abounds.'))

[Ibn Majah, from Zainab bint Jahsh ]

Al-jumhoor (The majority of fuqaha', i.e. the majority of founders of the four leading schools of thought or mazahib (Abu Haneefah, Ash-Shafi'i, Malik, and Ibn Hanbal) explained evil as immorality. Also, it is said, "The meaning of evil is adultery in particular, but the explicit meaning is committing sins in general." The meaning of this Hadith is that when evil abounds, all people will be destroyed even though there are righteous people among them. This is how Imam An-Nawawi explained Sahih Muslim.

Faith changes the nature of nafs and sublimes its ambitions:

Dear brother, what should Muslims do?! Allah the Almighty says:

(And make ready against them all you can of power, including steeds of war (tanks, planes, missiles, artillery, etc.) to threaten the enemy of Allah and your enemy, and sh3er besides whom, you may not know but whom Allah does know. And whatever you shall spend in the Cause of Allah shall be repaid unto you, and you shall not be treated unjustly.)

[Al-Anfal: 60]

Having faith alone is an insufficient prerequisite and getting prepared against the enemy with all kinds of power is an insufficient prerequisite either. Actually the relationship between having faith and gaining victory over the enemy is a cause-effect relationship. The proof is Allah's Saying:

(O Prophet (Muhammad PBUH)! Urge the believers to fight. If there are twenty steadfast persons amongst you, they will overcome two hundred, and if there be a hundred steadfast persons they will overcome a thousand of those who disbelieve, because they (the disbelievers) are people who do not understand.)

[Al-Anfal: 65]

Dear brother, the above Ayah makes it clear that if faith is strong the percentage of the victory over the enemy is 1/10, if faith is weak, it is 1/2 and if faith is lost, the victory will be gained by the stronger in number, army, equipment and so on. This percentage does not remain the same, because faith changes the nature of nafs (ownsef), its values and ambitions. Also it sublimes nafs's inclinations, exalts its needs, eases its worries and concerns, strengthens its hope and turns its sadness into happiness and its failure into success. This fact is confirmed by the advice which our master Umar bin Al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, gave to Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas, may Allah be pleased with him. He said, "I command you and those with you to fear Allah in every situation, for indeed taqwa of Allah is the best preparation for the enemy, and the most strategic plot in war, and I advise you and those with you, to be much more conscious of your sins than those of your enemy's, because the sins of the army is much more subtle than their enemy, for verily the Muslims are victorious by the sins of their enemies, and if it was not for that (the enemies sin) we would not have any power over them, because our numbers are not like their numbers, and our preparations are not like their preparations. Therefore, if we (both groups) are equal in sins, then they will have the upper hand in power, and we will not be able to gain victory over them by our merits (only), and we will not defeat them by our strength (only)." [Al-Aqd Al-Fareed vol. pg. 40]

Faith implants courage and bravery inside nafs:

Dear brother, faith means that man believes deeply that his death will not come before its due time nor will it be postponed after its definite time. Such faith is able by its own to implant courage, bravery and the spirit of sacrifice and philanthropy inside nafs. Our master Khalid, may Allah be pleased with him, said while he was on deathbed, "I fought about more than seventy battles, and all the battles I fought in left my body scarred with wounds and stabs everywhere, yet here I am dying in bed as if I had never witnessed war before. I hope that the cowards will not have rest even after I am dead."
What proves the relationship between faith and victory is that the difficult conditions which weaken, humiliate and define the destiny (the result of the battle against the believers) of the unbeliever, can never affect the true believer, nor get him away from his path (fighting in the Cause of Allah) nor define his destiny (the result of the battle against his enemy) which is planned by his enemy. Allah the Almighty says:

(And many a Prophet (i.e. many from amongst the Prophets) fought (in Allah's Cause) and along with him (fought) large bands of religious learned men. But they never lost heart for that which did befall them in Allah's Way, nor did they weaken nor degrade themselves. And Allah loves As-Sabirin (the patient ones, etc.).)

[Aal-'Imran: 146]

The connection between victory and faith in practice:

Dear brother, the practical connection between victory and faith was manifested at the Battle of Badr. The Muslims were few, while the arrogant Mushrikoon (polytheists) were many. The Muslims were in dire need to Allah, so they approached Him asking for His help, whereas the Mushrikoon were dispensed with Him, so they turned away from Him. The believers deserved to be victorious as a result of their faith, their dire need to Allah, their Du'a and their preparation to war. Allah says:

(And Allah has already made you victorious at Badr, when you were a weak little force.)

[Aal-'Imran: 123]

It means that Allah made them victorious although they were weak. On the day of Hunain, on the other hand, they had all materialistic means of victory; their number was great, and they had all moral means; they dominated the Arabian Peninsula. However, they were misled as they depended solely on those means, and so their need to and dependence on Almighty Allah were weakened. Consequently, the Divine discipline was in Allah's Saying:

(Truly Allah has given you victory on many battle fields, and on the Day of Hunain (battle) when you rejoiced at your great number but it availed you naught and the earth, vast as it is, was straitened for you, then you turned back in flight.)

[At-Taubah: 25]

Dear brother, Allah the Exalted says:

(And make ready against them all you can of power, including steeds of war (tanks, planes, missiles, artillery, etc.) to threaten the enemy of Allah and your enemy, and sh3er besides whom, you may not know but whom Allah does know. And whatever you shall spend in the Cause of Allah shall be repaid unto you, and you shall not be treated unjustly.)

[Al-Anfal: 60]

It is a reference to all kinds of power which Muslims should have and prepare, but out of Allah's Mercy upon the believers, He assigned them to prepare the power which is available to them, not the one which is equivalent to their enemies'. The Prophet, peace be upon him, said:

((Strength is in archery, strength is in archery, strength is in archery.))

[Muslim, from Uqbah bin Amir]

This is the unchanged power standard, and it is an essential factor in winning the battles regardless of state-of-the-art weapons used. Uqbah bin Amir Al-Juhani, may Allah be pleased with him, reported: I heard Allah's Messenger, peace be upon him, saying from the pulpit:

((Prepare to meet them (the enemy) with as much strength as you can afford. Verily! Strength is in archery, strength is in archery, strength is in archery.))

[Muslim, from Uqbah bin Amir]

The memorable moral positions and heroic acts of the Companions:

These facts, dear brother, have been deduced from the Noble Quran and the method of the believer. We present the detailed instructions which are mentioned in the Prophetic Sunnah, the amazing and wise moral positions of the Prophet, peace be upon him, who is our exemplar and the remarkable heroic acts of his Companions, the trustees of his Da'wah and the leaders of his army, to the children of our Arab nation who are fighting continuous battles against their enemies, the enemies of the truth and good!

When the Battle of Uhud was over, people went to see the martyrs. The Prophet, peace be upon him, said, "Who would go and look for Sa'd bin Ar-Rabi' and see whether he is among the alive or the dead?" A man from Al-Ansar (it is reported in some narrations that the man was Zaid bin Thabit) looked for him and found him seriously wounded among the dead, and he was breathing his last. The man said to him, "The Prophet, peace be upon him, sent me to see whether you are among the alive or the dead?" Sa'd said, "I am dying. Send my greeting to the Prophet, peace be upon him, and say to him that Sa'd says to you, 'May Allah reward you with the best reward of any other Prophet. Send my greeting to your people (Al-Ansar) and said to them, 'You have no excuse with Allah if anything happens to your Prophet while you still breathe.'" Sa'd was on cloud nine when his soul met with Allah after fulfilling his duty. The man said, "I stayed beside Sa'd until he died, then I got back to the Prophet, peace be upon him, and told him about Sa'd. He, peace be upon him, cried until his beard got wet." What kind of happiness Sa'd had?! On the light of those sublime principles and morals, you can hear about unique instances of heroism and bravery which can no longer take place once again in societies which have turned their back to the Method of Allah and become immersed in the muddy shallows of lusts. Allah the Almighty says:

(Then, there has succeeded them a posterity who have given up As-Salat (the prayers) [i.e. made their Salat (prayers) to be lost, either by not offering them or by not offering them perfectly or by not offering them in their proper fixed times, etc.] and have followed lusts. So they will be thrown in Hell.)

[Maryam: 59]

One of these extraordinary heroic incidents was the bravery of our master Ja'far, may Allah be pleased with him, at the Battle of Mu'tah. When the Muslims arrived Mu'tah, a village located in the outskirts of Sham, they found that the Romans had prepared 100.000 fighters to fight against them, and they were supported by other 100.000 fighters behind them. The number of the Muslim army, on the other hand, was 3000 fighters. As soon as the battle started and armies began to fight against each other, Zaid, may Allah be pleased with him, was martyred while he was fighting, so the second leader, our master Ja'far bin Abi Taleb came off his horse, held the standard and kept fighting while surrounded with the Romans and saying:

O the delights of Paradise and its nearness!
O its pleasant and cold drink
And Rome, for Rome its destruction has drawn near
A disbelieving and distant nation
Its incumbent upon me when I meet it, to destroy it
***

Our master Ja'far, may Allah be pleased with him, continued to fight valiantly with his horse hamstrung. He held the standard of the Muslims in one hand but his lower arm was chopped off by the enemy. Then he held the standard with his left hand and this arm was also chopped off. He then held it with his upper arms and chest, but soon his body was cut into two halves by the enemy. The third leader who held the standard was Abdullah bin Rawahah. According to the narrations he hesitated for thirty seconds before he held the standard. He said:

O soul! I have sworn that you will ?ght!
You will ?ght, or you will be forced to ?ght!
When people have assembled and shouted the war cry,
Why do I see you hating to enter Paradise?
***

Then he held the standard and fought till he was martyred. The Prophet, peace be upon him, said:

(("Your brother Zaid held the standard and fought while holding it until he was martyred, and verily I can see his seat in Al-Jannah. Then, your brother Ja'far held the standard and fought until he was martyred, and verily I can see his seat in Al-Jannah." After that the Prophet, peace be upon him, went silent which made the Companions worried about their brother Abdullah, so they said, "O Allah's Messenger, what did Abdullah do?" He, peace be upon him, said, "Then, your brother Abdullah held the standard and fought until he was martyred, and I can see a slightly farther away seat from the ones of his friends."))

That was because he hesitated for thirty seconds before he sacrificed himself in the Cause of Allah.

When the Prophet, peace be upon him, was informed about the martyrdom of our master J'afar, may Allah be pleased with him, he went to his house by himself as a gesture of respect towards his household. He found his wife Asma' there, waiting for her absent husband. She had baked the bread, gave her children a bath and dressed them up. Asma' said, 'When the Messenger of Allah approached us, I saw a veil of sadness shrouding his noble face and I became very apprehensive. But I did not dare ask him about Ja'far for fear that I would hear some unpleasant news. He greeted and asked, 'Where are Ja'far's children?' I called them for him and they came and crowded around him happily, each one wanting to claim him for himself. He leaned over and hugged them while tears flowed from his eyes. 'O Messenger of Allah,' I asked, 'why do you cry? Have you heard anything about Ja'far and his two companions? ''Yes,' he replied. 'They have attained martyrdom.' The smiles and the laughter vanished from the faces of the little children when they heard their mother crying and wailing. The Prophet, peace be upon him, said, 'O Allah, protect and sustain the children of Ja'far; O Allah, protect and sustain the household of Ja'far and assured them that he had attained Paradise.' Then he said, 'I saw Ja'far flying in Al-Jannah with two wings full of blood.'

This is how your ancestors behaved. Almighty Allah honored them with victory, because they reconciled with Him and applied His Method in their households.

Dear brother, their Lord and ours is the same, their Shari'ah and ours is the same, their Sunnah and ours is the same and their reconciliation and ours is the same.

Dear brother, approach Allah, turn to Him in repentance and reconcile with Him, and get back to your Book (the Noble Quran) and the Sunnah of your Prophet, peace be upon him. Allah the Almighty says:

(And incline not toward those who do wrong, lest the Fire should touch you, and you have no protectors other than Allah, nor you would then be helped.)

[Hud: 113]

Muslims' need to the Ayat of Tawheed:

Dear brother, these are facts, and the bitter reality is thousands of time better than the relieving illusion, so do not live in illusions. Almighty Allah says:

(And He is Allah; La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He). His is all praise, in the first (i.e. in this world) and in the last (i.e.in the Hereafter). And for Him is the Decision, and to Him shall you (all) be returned.)

[Al-Qasas: 70]

 Also, Almighty Allah says:

(The Hand of Allah is over their hands.)

[Al-Fath: 10]

All we are supposed to do is reconciling with Allah. Almighty Allah says:

(Whatever of mercy (i.e. of good), Allah may grant to mankind, none can withhold it, and whatever He may withhold, none can grant it thereafter. And He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.)

[Fatir: 2]

We are in a desperate need to the Ayat of Tawheed (Monotheism). Almighty Allah says:

(So invoke not with Allah another ilah (god) lest you be among those who receive punishment.)

[Ash-Shu'ara': 213]

Allah is the Only One Who exalts and abases, Who honors and humiliates, Who gives and prevents and Who makes other victorious and defeated. Scholars said that you should not say that Allah is the Afflicter. As you know one of the Beautiful Names of Allah is the Afflicter. Yet, you should say that Allah is the Afflicter the Benefiter, He is the Giver the Preventer, the Bestower of honour the Humiliator, because He takes only to give, humiliates only to honor, afflicts only to benefit and abases only to exalt.

We get back to the Ayah with which we started our lesson, Almighty Allah says:

This tyrannical and oppressing power in the world, which kill peoples and steal their rights is represented in the above Ayah (Al-Qasas: 4). I ask Allah to make us among those who are addressed in the Ayah which follows it. Almighty Allah says:

(And We wished to do a favour to those who were weak (and oppressed) in the land, and to make them rulers and to make them the inheritors)

[Al-Qasas: 5]

Dear brother, call yourselves to account before you are called to do so and weigh your deeds before they are weighed. You should know that the Angel of Death has been reaching sh3er and will reach us soon, so pay heed. The clever one is he who upbraids himself and works for what comes after death; and the weak one is he who follows his desires and lives on wishful thinking, and praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds.

***

2nd Khutbah:

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds, and I testify that there is no god but Allah Alone, the Guardian of the righteous, and I testify that our Master Muhammad is his slave and Messenger, who is on an exalted standard of character.

Man's need to food:

Dear brother, I intended to discuss the topic of fasting in this Khutbah, but the bad news you all heard forced me to change it. The second Khutbah is about the following:

Some nutritionists said, "Knowing about the nutritional values of food is not what motivates man to eat, but rather his hunger and the motivating desire to eat." Man's hunger motives him to satisfy his need to food in order to stay alive, and so his desire to eat is but a means, not an end, because the Prophet, peace be upon him, used to make the following Du'a,

((All praises are for Allah who has made me taste its sweet, and kept its benefit – or energy – in my body, and banished its harm from my body).))

One of Allah's blessings is that He has made the food which is one of the means of keeping you alive sweet. There is the need to eat which is motivated by hunger, and there is the sweetness of food. Man's need to food could be satisfied by injecting a liquid (serum) into his blood, but out of Allah's Bounty, He has made the food sweet. Hence, the desire to eat is a means, so if man makes it an end, he will suffer physical disorders. Many people make eating an end maybe because their will is not that strong. If eating becomes an end, the hidden bell whose function, according to the nutritionists, is to ring giving the sign of hunger, will be stopped. As a result, the stomach extends many times; its primary size which is about 250 cubic centimeters will become 2500 cubic centimeters, according to the nutritionists. When the size of the stomach extends, eating becomes an end; we live only to eat. This is just the introduction.

Designing the body in a way that suits the components of food

There is a wonderful fact which can never change; it is about the designation of the body. This fact tells us that the body is designed in a way that requires fasting. Allah the Exalted has designed our body in a way that makes it ready to deal with the components of the food according to a mechanism which works regularly in three stages. What I am explaining is an extremely important research.

The first stage: it is when the food is digested in the stomach and the intestines. After that the food is absorbed, and it is converted to sugar that runs in bloodstream. Also, it is turned into other substances that the body uses to have energy and build tissues. I repeat: the first stage is digesting the food in the stomach and the intestines.

The second stage: it is the stage of storing the extra energy. The extra sugar is stored in the liver and the muscles, and the extra fat is stored in all the organs of the body. I repeat: the second stage is storing the extra energy in the liver and the muscles and the extra fat in all parts of the body. Hence, the first stage is digesting, absorbing and consuming the food, the second stage is storing the extra energy and the third stage is using this energy; converting the sugar and the fats to sugar and fatty acids so that they are consumed in all parts of the body

Dear brother, pay attention to the fact that the third stage has a special quality; it can never occur if man does not refrain from eating for a certain period of time. Thus, the third stage stops working if man does not abstain from eating for a particular period of time.

The physiology of the body requires abstaining from eating:

Dear brother, scientists said, "The normal level of sugar in blood ranges between 80 to 120 milligrams per cm cubic." This is the level of blood sugar, but after fasting for six hours it drops. Herein lies one of the miracles of human body; as the sugar level drops the brain sends urgent messages to the glands asking them for supply. The adrenal gland excretes a hormone which converts the glycogen that is stored in the muscles and the liver to sugar. The thyroid gland does the same by excreting a hormone which urges the blood sugar stored in the muscles and the liver to be consumed, because the level of the blood sugar drops after six hours of fasting.

Similarly, the pancreas excretes a hormone to urge all these stored substances to be consumed. When man consumes the stored sugar in his muscles and liver; the energy in the stored fats is consumed. The scientific research has proved that the burning of fats and the consumption of the stored fats in the body increase during the fasting hours.
Dear brother, what an incredible fact it is! Each kilogram of the fatty tissues needs three kilometers of capillaries where blood runs. This is too much for the heart to bear; assume that man's weight increases ten kilograms, then it means that he has extra 300 kilometers of capillaries. Scientists said, "The physiology of mankind creation requires abstaining from food.", but why? This is because fasting relieves the first and second stage and gives chance to the third stage to work properly. By fasting the digestive system and the process of absorbing food take a break. Also, the second stage, which is storing food, rests, while the third stage, which is destroying, burning and consuming the stored fats in the muscles and blood, keeps working. Because fasting is essential for mankind, it is an obligation that should be performed by all nations. Almighty Allah says:

(O you who believe! Observing As-Saum (the fasting) is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you, that you may become Al-Muttaqun.)

[Al-Baqarah: 183]

This research indicates the delicate fact that fasting is an act of worship, and it draws man closer to Allah and strengthens his connection with Him:

((Every act of the son of Adam is for him, except As-Siyam (the fasting) which is (exclusively) for Me, and I will reward him for it.))

[Al-Bukhari & Muslim]

Fasting strengthens man's will, and it makes him realize that he is a weak creature. The scientific fact I have just referred to does not violates the first function of fasting which is worshipping Allah and getting closer to Him, but the outcome of performing Allah's orders vary; fasting is an act of worship which gets you closer to Allah, makes you see your true size, keeps you connected with Allah and shows your need to Him.

Supplication:

O Allah, we beseech You to show us the way of righteousness together with those to whom You showed it; and to give us good health together with those whom You have healed; and to be our Protector, as You are of those whom You protect; and to bless what You have bestowed on us; and to save us from the affliction that You have decreed, for You rule with justice and You are never judged; and he whom You protect shall never be humiliated, and he whom You make Your enemy shall never be elevated, blessed and dignified are You. We thank You for what You have decreed, we ask You for Forgiveness for our sins, and we repent to You.
O Allah, grant us a good deed that would draw us closer to you. O Allah, increase us [in Your Blessings] and do not decrease us, honor us and do not humiliate us, give us [from Your Gifts] and do not deprive us, be in favor of us and not against us, make us satisfied and be satisfied with us and grant us victory over the infidels. O Allah, send us rain and do not make us helpless, do not afflict us with drought, or punish us for the bad deeds of the wrongdoers; O Lord of the World.

O Allah, please make us do well in the Deen, which is our dignity, make us do well in our worldly life, in which we dwell and grant us safety on the Day of Judgment for it is our Final Destination. O Allah, please supply our life with all good things and make our death a rest from every evil. O our Master, the Lord of all Worlds, please make us desire what You have made lawful and reject what You have made unlawful, make us by Your benevolence independent of all sh3er and make our obedience to You turn us away from our disobedience. O Allah, let us not be oblivious to Your planning; do not deprive us of Your shield and do not make us forget Your remembrance.

O Allah, by Your Mercy and Benevolence, raise high the word of truth and this Deen, grant triumph to Islam, dignify Muslims and lead the rulers of Muslims to what pleases You, O Lord of the Worlds, as You are the only One Who is capable over His decreed, and Who responds to our supplication.
